Long Reach High School is proud to have received exclusive production performance rights of Frozen the Musical for the state of Maryland as part of  the United States of Frozen contest.  On September 9, 2022, The Educational Theatre Association, Disney Theatrical Group, and Music Theatre International announced 51 winners of the United States of Frozen contest, after an extraordinary response from high schools across the US. The nationwide competition called out to high schools to be the first in their state to produce Frozen the Musical in their local communities. Applicants were asked to describe their unique vision of Frozen the Musical and how they will use the theme “Love is an Open Door” as an opportunity to strengthen their school community, provide outreach to underserved groups, and support inclusive and diverse theatre programs.

Based on the hit 2013 animated feature film, Disney’s stage adaptation of Frozen the Musical opened on Broadway in March 2018. The film’s co-director and screenwriter Jennifer Lee wrote the musical’s book, and songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez penned brand-new music for the stage. The Broadway production of Frozen the Musical is currently on tour in North America. In 2019, Disney released Frozen JR. (a 60-minute adaptation for middle school-aged performers) and Frozen KIDS (a 30-minute adaptation for elementary school-aged performers), which continue to thrill and delight students in grades K-9 around the world. The full-length version of Frozen the Musical is not available for wider licensing at this time, making The United States of Frozen a truly momentous celebration of this timeless story.

SNOW CANCELLATION POLICY:

All performances are subject to the HCPSS Weather Cancellation Decisions. Decisions to cancel after school or weekend activities are typically made with only 1 day or less notice. You can check HCPSS Weather Decisions at their website link: https://status.hcpss.org/

Unfortunately, there are NO REFUNDS for tickets bought online.

If you purchased tickets online for a cancelled performance, you can exchange that ticket for either a) an added snow make-up performance or b) use the ticket, which will be honored as a General Seating ticket, at any of the other remaining performances of "Frozen".

*RESERVED SEATS- if you purchase reserved seats at a cancelled performance, you will automatically be offered the exact same reserved seating tickets at the corresponding added snow makeup date. You can choose to make that exchange, OR you are welcome to attend another performance date if any remain, and your tickets become General Seating instead.

Unfortunately, NO REFUNDS can be given, even if the patron is unable to attend the snow make-up or other performance options.

In the event of a performance being cancelled, we will make every effort to reschedule and add a "snow make-up" show date. However, there is no guarantee of the total number of make-up dates that can be added, and in the unlikely event that the closing performance is cancelled and no snow date can be added, there are still no refunds.  All online ticket purchases go towards fundraising for future Long Reach HS Theatre productions.

Unfortunately, We do not have any performances available for purchase at this time. Please try again later.
